Six cylinders of black marketing confiscated, lawsuit against shopkeepers

On instructions from DM Aryaka Akhouri, the regional food commissioner confiscated six household bottles on Thursday after checking in the koirauna market. A complaint was filed against shopkeeper Rahul at the police station under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act 1955. DSO Seema Singh said that complaints had been received for several days that domestic gas was being sold at high prices through illegal refills and black marketing in the grocery stores in the said market. When the matter reached the DM and SDM Sadar, a team was formed led by Regional Officer Shiv Narayan. After the police reached the store, the team requested household items first, then household gas cylinders, and then talked about providing the shopkeepers. On suspicion, after a thorough examination from the inside out, the team found six full bottles in eight bottles that were being kept for black marketing.
