Making the shocking disclosure in an exclusive interview to BollywoodLife, Shruti Haasan said, “It was never my plan to become an actress. I don’t think even my mother (Sarika) and father (Kamal Haasan) thought I would ever act. I’m not sure they knew, but I certainly didn’t. When I did my first film, I was much less prepared, less trained because my mindset was more like an independent musician… you know, like playing shows. Even I had assisted only once on the sets for Hey Ram (his father’s film), otherwise, I would hardly visit the sets after school or occasionally. It was quite a different world to me that, admittedly, wasn’t so exotic that I didn’t know anything about it, but I don’t think you’re quite ready for a job by visiting your parents’ job site.
