Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan goes to court to have his passport returned in drug case

It has been several months since the son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Aryan Khan, was granted bail and received a clean sentence in the cruise drug case. The Narcotics Control Bureau did not name Aryan Khan in the indictment, which was filed in the case after a cruise ship was ambushed in Mumbai in October 2021.

According to a report by Press Trust of India, Aryan Khan submitted an application to the Special Court to recover his passport. The application was filed by Desai Desai Carrimjee and Mulla on Thursday, June 30 through his attorneys, Amit Desai and Rahul Agarwal. In the application, Aryan Khan has mentioned that the NCB fee schedule does not satisfy him and therefore his passport will have to be returned.

The court took note of the matter and ordered the NCB to submit a reply. The court has also put the matter up for hearing on July 13.

For those unfamiliar, Aryan Khan was required to surrender his passport as part of his bail conditions and was not allowed to fly out of the country or travel outside of Mumbai. He also had to be present for his weekly visit to the NZB office for the first few months. Aryan Khan spent over three weeks in Arthur Road Prison in Mumbai, where his father Shah Rukh Khan also visited.
