Sitapur. In Biswan tehsil, the water level of Sharda and Saryu rivers is decreasing, but the erosion has intensified. Seven families fled after breaking their homes in Parameshwarapurwa due to fear of deforestation. These people have made their shelter in their fields. The water level of Sharda and Saryu rivers flowing in the Terai area is decreasing. There is relief because of the water. But the problems are increasing due to the rapid erosion. The river is cutting sharply near Parameshwarapurva. Here Ramchandra broke his pucca house on Sunday because of the cutting. He has fled the village. Maujilal, Prathvipal, Shrikeshan, Sandeep, Kamlesh and Umesh have also come under the JD of Katan. These people had a hut lying in the village. They used to live in these huts only. These people have built a shelter in their farm in the neighborhood itself. Whereas in the west of Parameshwarapurva about 10 bighas of fallow land got absorbed in the felling. Tehsildar Abhichal Pratap Singh said that now the water level of the rivers is expected to remain stable. Financial help has been provided to 142 people suffering from erosion. Executive Engineer Irrigation Vishal Porwal said that the water in the rivers coming from Nepal and Uttarakhand is passing properly in the district. Conditions remain normal. Flood protection works are being carried out in Lilapurwa, Barchhata, Badhainpurwa, Kamariya Shekhupur and Chowkipurwa.
