Varanasi. Seed shops were searched by the Department of Agriculture on Thursday. In which 37 rice and corn seed samples were taken after 34 shopkeepers were examined. At the time of the exhibition, notification requirements were issued against three shops.
District Agriculture Commissioner Subhash Maurya said two teams were formed for the raid. In which Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s deputy agricultural director and scientist took eight samples of rice and corn seeds while examining 10 shopkeepers from Harhua, Kashi Vidyapeeth, Chiraigaon and Cholpur. The second team, District Agriculture Officer and Horticulture Officer, searched 24 stores in Sewapuri, Arajiline, Baragaon, Pindra and collected 29 samples. In which notices were issued to shopkeepers after Chiraigaon shops closed.
