Screws Will Be Tightened On Those Selling Stamps At Arbitrary Prices


Vendors are selling stamps at arbitrary rates amid the shortage of small denomination stamps in the district. On receiving its complaints, the DM has directed all the SDMs to investigate the stamp vendors. Duddhi SDM has also caught a vendor taking more price. On his report, the ADM canceled the vendor’s license. This action has caused panic among other vendors as well.
The shortage of stamps of five, ten, twenty rupees has been there for a long time. Because of this, the arbitrariness of vendors has also increased. Vendors are charging two to two and a half times commission instead of the fixed stamp commission. Recently, Piyush Kumar had also complained about this to the officers during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas in Duddhi. SDM Ramesh Kumar sent its report to the ADM after the investigation confirmed that the stamp was sold at a higher price. On this ground the license of the stamp vendor was cancelled. To stop the arbitrariness of other vendors, the DM has instructed all the SDMs to investigate.
