Chitrakoot. Union Jalshakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Minister of State Dr. Mahendra Singh started the tree-planting drive by planting five Ramayana-era vegetable saplings in Ramvan Vatika by Ramvan Gaman Marg near Dharmanagari Devaganna Airfield. Appeals to work together to save water, forest and land.
On Sunday, Union and State Minister Jal Shakti began planting seedlings of Peepal, Banyan, Ashok, Amla and Bael in the Sidhpur forest block next to headquarters. Minister of State for PWD Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay, MP RK Singh Patel, MLA Anand Shukla, DM Shubhrant Kumar Shukla and DFO Kailash Prakash have planted saplings of Mahua, Kalpavriksha and Sheesham. The Union minister said that water, forest and land are of great importance to human life.
The Minister of State for PWD said that after Ayodhya and Prayagraj, the Ministry of Forestry had made preparations for the construction of Ram Van Vatika in Chitrakoot. DM said 38,500 seedlings would be planted over 35 acres in the Sidhpur forest block. On Ram Van Gaman Marg, the state government makes Ram Van Vatika of Lord Shri Ram during the Ramayana period. The forestry department is responsible for creating this garden in three locations in Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Chitrakoot. In Rama Van Vatika, 30 species of plants are to be planted during the Ramayana period. Some plants are also said to be planted from southern India.
