When the producers approached Sam with Shakuntalam, the actress asked him to plan the shoot in such a way that it would be completed by July/August. Neelima reveals that Sam told her that she and Naga Chaitanya were planning to start a family together. Samantha was eager to become a mother and had made it clear that motherhood would be her first priority after that.
