43 lakhs were spent on the renovation of the residence of the Director of IMS BHU. This has been revealed in the reply sought from RTI regarding the budget for rejuvenation in BHU. In order to get facilities like AIIMS in IMS BHU, new departments are to be opened here in the hospital. Many new arrangements have to be made for patients including investigation, treatment.For this, the budget is also to be released by the government in different installments. IMS BHU has also got an amount of more than 200 crores in the first installment of Kayakalp. In this, the repair work has now started in Sir Sunderlal Hospital. With this amount, Rs 43 lakh has been spent on the repair of the director’s residence.

Presently the official residence of the Director of IMS BHU is in the New Medical Enclave campus, just opposite Naria Gate. Director of IMS BHU Prof. BR Mittal said that with the funds received under Kayakalp, the houses attached to IMS are also to be repaired. I do not know from which fund the house was repaired. Work was already going on here before I came.

On August 22, Sanjay Kumar Singh, a resident of Rajwari, had sought information from BHU about the amount received from 2019 till date under RTI under RTI, rejuvenation in IMS BHU, Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Trauma Center, and the amount spent in it. Apart from this, information about the amount spent in the repair of the residence of the IMS director was also sought.In the reply given by the Executive Engineer and Senior Manager of CPWD on September 3, information has been given about the expenditure of Rs 43 lakh in civil work of IMS Director from the funds received under Kayakalp scheme.
