SS Rajamouli’s period drama RRR continues its stellar run at the box office as the film has shown no drop/minimal drop in collections on its second Friday as compared to Thursday. The film has collected in the range of Rupee. 11.50 to 12.50 crores 8th day.
Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer also has an outside chance to watch Rupee. 13 crore On the second Friday, though it depends on how well it has performed in the mass belt. Multiplexes, especially national chains, have recorded viewership equal to the 7th day of the film, and that too with higher ticket rates.
RRR has emerged as a clean hit and is now running towards securing the superhit tag. The film is also available for distributors in Hindi belt for Rs. 180 crores, approx Rs. 200 crores and crossed the superhit mark with Rs. 220 crores. Looking at the trend so far, it will break even on the 11th day, and then start its journey to enter the profit zone.
The strong hold on the second Friday has laid the groundwork for an excellent second weekend with the possibility of touching the rupee. 20 crore figure on Sunday. The film has established SS Rajamouli as the biggest brand of Indian cinema and one can expect Mahesh Babu to set new benchmarks at the box office.
