Emma Watson
“Rest in peace, Robbie Coltrane. Robbie was like the funniest uncle I’ve ever had, but most of all he was deeply loving, kind and gentle with me as a child and as an adult. His talent was so immense that it was understandable that he played a giant: he could fill any space with his talent. Robbie, if I ever get the chance to be as kind as you on a film set, I promise I will do it in your name and memory. You know how much I love and admire you. You enjoyed being Hermione.”

Robbie cared and cared for everyone around him. easily. and he made them laugh. easily. He was a big gentle giant on screen, but even more so in real life. I love you mate – thanks for everything xx”

“Heartbroken by the death of Robbie Coltrane. Hagrid was my favorite character! Robbie so brilliantly portrays Hagrid’s warmth, sense of home, and unconditional love for his students and magical creatures. Robbie always treated me and my co-stars when we were little kids. Professional equals on a film set. A kind of attitude that instilled confidence and a sense of togetherness. Thanks for all the laughs. I miss you Rob. Sending love to your family. Rest in peace.”
James Phelps
“I will miss random chats on every topic under the sun. And I’ll never forget it in September 2000, on my first day on a movie set, Robbie Coltrane walked up to a very nervous 14-year-old boy and said, “Enjoy yourself, you’ll be great.” Thanks for that X”
Oliver Phelps
“November 2001 – Leicester Square, London. “Dive in guys, it’s like a Rolls-Royce for your first car”! Robbie Coleraine when he was next to me on the red carpet of the first HP Premiere. We have had excellent conversations about history and travel over the years. Rest in peace Robbie X”
