There are 44 grams of panchayats among the Nine Nyay Panchayats of the Baraut Block. There are a total of 622 grams of Panchayat members, but 167 positions remained vacant during the election. Now they have to hold a by-election. However, people are less enthusiastic about buying the nomination forms for the Gram Panchayat member post. Efforts are being made to expeditiously complete the application process for Gram Panchayat members in those Gram Panchayats who do not meet the Gram Panchayat quorum.
