This year also the river is cutting with the same speed. Villagers say that till now about 500 acres of standing paddy crop has been absorbed in the river stream due to the cutting of the river. Irrigation Department’s assistant engineer Satish Chandra told that efforts have been started to stop the harvesting. On Wednesday, high officials of the Irrigation Department were also present on the dam and work is being done on their guidelines to stop the erosion. He said that the dam is completely safe. There will be no danger to the dam in future as well.
