Rishab Shetty reveals Jr NTR is his favourite hero; Shares about their common connection – News
Rishabh Shetty is currently the most talked about star due to her recently released movie Kantara. The film has managed to capture the attention of the public from all corners. As soon as the Hindi version of Kantara hit theaters today, Rishabh Shetty in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla revealed that her favorite actor is Jr NTR and she also shared a common connection, connecting him with the RRR star.
Rishabh Shetty reveals that Jr NTR is an all-time favorite Tollywood hero. He said: “There are many superstars like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and Allu Arjun but I love Jr NTR. Another connection to him is that his mother is from my village.”
When asked if he ever wanted to direct Jr NTR, the filmmaker said, “I never thought about that. Only when a story and concept comes along, can I decide.”
Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara opened in theaters on September 30 to rave reviews. It has become a huge hit at the Karnataka box office. The film has become the highest rated Indian film on IMDb. Kantara was always intended to be a Kannada only release and despite the language barrier, the film is doing tremendously in all the different regions with the help of English subtitles.
Rishabh Shetty not only directed the film but also played a double role. It is financed by famous KGF producer Hombale Films. Kantara tells the story of a local deity who in 1870 trades forest land with the tribespeople for pleasure with a king.

Meanwhile, coming to Jr NTR, following the resounding success of SS Rajamouli’s magnum ops RRR, he’s all over the news as he has appeared on the 2022 Oscars advance list in the Best Actor category. Later, the actor also joined Koratala Siva for NTR30 and filmmaker Prashanth Neel for NTR31. Filming for NTR30 has already started and the creators plan to announce a major update very soon.
