Kanpur Countryside. Dengue and fever patients have raised concerns amid fears of a third wave of corona. On Monday, the district hospital had a record OPD of 900 patients this season. In which there were about three and a half hundred patients of fever alone. At the same time, 92 patients of fever reached the health centers of rural areas. Those who were tested and given medicine.
The outbreak of fever is increasing continuously in the district. Children are burning with fever. Panicked about the possibility of malaria and dengue, people ran to the hospital with children. The OPD, which usually ranges between five and six hundred in Akbarpur district hospital, increased sharply on Monday. Even before eight o’clock in the morning, there was a long queue of those who got the form made.
After hours of effort, people reached the doctor’s room. The maximum crowd remained in the Pediatric and Physician room. Till noon, 900 patients were seen in the OPD. In these, about 350 patients of fever alone were tested and given medicine.
Similarly, in Derapur CHC, 29 fever patients, Rura 12, Jhinjhak 19, Rasulabad 15, Rajpur 12 and five in Havaspur CHC in Sandalpur area, including about 450 fever patients, reached all the hospitals.

With the increase in the number of dengue and fever patients, the negligence of the people reaching the hospitals is also being seen. Crowds of people are gathering outside the OPD form room, doctor room, lab and medicine distribution room without wearing masks and without social distancing. Which is very worrying.
It has been directed by the government and the administration to follow the corona guidelines, but the responsible officers of the medical department are ignoring it. No concrete arrangements are being seen from the hospital administration to prevent corona infection.
