Jagatpur (Rae Bareilly). In Tikar Agachipur, Kotwali region, a case against the Kotdar was recorded for failing to distribute a ration to 125 poor people since May by installing the thumb in the POS machines. Action was taken after the investigation was confirmed on behalf of DM. The shop’s license has already been suspended.
Shailendra Singh, Sunil Kumar Singh, Phoolchandra, Rammilan, Sheela Devi, Deshraj, Sangeeta and Babulal, residents of the village of Tikar Agachipur in the Dinshah Gaura Block, had made affidavits and demanded that the Kotedar be brought to justice for rationing.
On instructions from DSO KN Singh, ARO PN Pal and Supply Inspector Avinash Pandey conducted an investigation which found the complaint to be true. After DM approval, a case against Kotdar Santlal was registered by Supply Inspector Avinash Pandey at Jagatpur Police Station. Kotwal Ajit Vidyarthi announced that a case against the Kotdar has been registered.
Matka shop blocked due to loading of free ration
In June, the government also handed out free routine rations, but the Matka kotedar in the Salon block area raised money from the poor in the name of rationing. In response to a complaint from the cardholder, the team of supply inspectors reached the village and investigated.
The quota shop was closed after investigations. DSO KN Singh said that the Kotedar of Matka won money back by giving the ration that was given to the poor for free. The store was suspended after the investigation confirmed it.
