Mother (Barabanki). Nearly two hundred bighas of the mentha harvest from farmers near the village of Naimau have been completely flooded due to the rainwater filling the fields. The farmers suffered a lot as a result. The farmers claim that the mentha crop will be ruined due to lack of drainage due to illegal plating.
In the area, the Reth River has its source near Naimau on the banks of the Sharda Canal. About two hundred bighas from the mentha harvest of the Naimau farmers have been under water for several days because of the rain.
The farmers Gurcharan Gautam, Rajesh Yadav, Girish Kumar, Bhagwati Gautam and Pramod Rawat etc. said that the rainwater used to flow into the Reth River, but because of the illegal coating, it does not come out, thus ruining the mentha harvest of our people. Farmers asked SDM Sadar for action after conducting an investigation and receiving compensation for the harvest.
