Rain,hamirpur,jalster Badha – The water level of rivers increased due to rain


Hamirpur. Due to the torrential rains for a week, the water level of Yamuna and Betwa rivers has once again started rising at a speed of 4 cm per hour. Although these days the water level of the rivers is only at 93.21 meters.
Matatila and Rajghat dams have started overflowing due to the rains in Madhya Pradesh. Due to which 6 gates of Matatila Dam have been opened. Due to this the water level of Betwa has started rising by four cm per hour. On the other hand, the water level is rising due to the torrential rains in Delhi NCR. The water level of Yamuna was recorded at 93.21 meters and that of Betwa at 93.60 meters on Monday.
Suryajit Verma, assistant engineer of Maudaha dam construction block, said that 6 gates of Matatila dam have been opened from a height of two feet. In the last 24 hours, 61 thousand 191 cusecs of water has been released. Due to which Betwa is growing at a speed of four centimeters per hour. At the same time, the water level of Yamuna is increasing due to the confluence in the city with the rains in Delhi and Haryana.
