Urad, Moong, Sesame, Groundnut, Soyabean have been sown in large quantity in Kharif crop. The crops were flourishing in the fields due to good rains. The urad and moong beans were ready for harvesting. The farmers were not happy with the expectation of a good yield. But for the past one month, it has been raining intermittently. Due to excessive watering, the standing crops ready for harvesting in the fields have reached the verge of rotting.
Arun Kumar of Linga, Mataprasad of Kumharia, Kamlapat of Chilli, Indresh Kumar of Sarsai, Ravindra Kumar, Maheshchandra, Puran of Umaria, Akhilesh of Khadkhar etc. told that the profit from Kharif crop is useful in meeting the expenses of Rabi. So far more than fifty percent damage has been done.
Pranjul Rajput of Nandana told that urad has been grown in 70 bighas. The beans were ready to be harvested. The beans have rotted due to excessive rain. In whose seeds new plants have started growing.
Virendra Singh of Nauhai village told that urad and moong crops were sown in 6 bighas. Due to excessive rains, about fifty percent damage has been done to the urad crop. Moong crop is completely destroyed.
