Pilibhit. After meter gauge, now passengers on Shahjahanpur route are going to get travel by trains on broad gauge. For this, preparations are going on in full swing from the railway side. A day earlier, the CRS has given permission to run the train after inspection. On Thursday, on the instructions of the Izzatnagar Divisional Office, a proposal has been sent for the operation of two pairs of trains from the local junction. Speculations are being made for the operation of trains by the end of this month. On May 30, 2018, the Pilibhit to Shahjahanpur route was said bye-bye to meter gauge trains forever. After this, the work of gauge conversion was started on this 84 km long route at a cost of 427 crores. Which was completed in the first phase till Bisalpur, in the second phase till Shahbaznagar and in the third phase till Shahjahanpur station of Northern Railway. On August 4, the CRS conducted a speed trial after inspecting the final phase of work. According to sources, no major defects were found during the inspection. With this, CRS Mohammad Latif Khan has given the green signal to run the trains. After the completion of the inspection of CRS, a proposal was sought from Izzatnagar Division regarding the operation of passenger trains on this section. On Thursday, a proposal has been prepared and sent on behalf of Chief Commercial Inspector Pushpraj Singh. The proposal has demanded the operation of two pairs of trains. These include one from Pilibhit in the morning and the other in the afternoon. While there has been a demand from Shahjahanpur to run the train one morning and one evening. The proposal from the Divisional Office will be sent to the Railway Board. Trains will start operating after getting permission from the Railway Board. Now there will be convenience in the movement of passengers. Till now, only roadways buses and heavy vehicles were the only support for passengers on the Shahjahanpur route. Commuters were facing a lot of problems due to the closure of trains. Due to lack of adequate roadways buses, people used to travel by private vehicles. Now, with the start of the trains, people will get a lot of convenience in traveling. Traveling to Lucknow will be easy. After running the train between Pilibhit- Shahjahanpur, both time and money of passengers will be saved in going to Lucknow. At present, passengers going to Lucknow have to first go to Shahjahanpur and Lucknow via Bareilly. After starting the operation of trains on this section, trains will be able to go directly from Pilibhit to Shahjahanpur and Lucknow.
