Shahjahanpur. Under the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, the government has approved an amount of Rs 24 crore 99 lakh 52,000 for ongoing works to upgrade and reinforce three state roads running through the district.
State roads that have received funding for ongoing works include the upgrading and strengthening of the Puwayan-Nigohi road (24 km), the Bilgram-Sandi-Alhaganj road (4.672 km) and the Nigohi-Tilhar road (22 km ). The total cost of these projects is Rs 46 crore 60 lakh 34 thousand, of which Rs 16 crore 15 lakh has already been allocated. Later, the state order regarding the consumption of the released amount was issued by the Public Works Department. In the order given, the chief engineer (development) and the department head, department for public works, are instructed to ensure that the use of the allocated funds for ongoing work is carried out in accordance with the guidelines issued by the finance department, the rules of the budget manual and financial manual.
At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister Maurya has instructed all officials concerned to pay special attention to the quality and standards of the work. He also gave instructions that all work should be completed on time.
For these three state roads, further construction work has been carried out in proportion to the funds received from the government in the first phase. More than 50 percent of the work was carried out on the Nigohi-Tilhar road. More than 40 percent of the work was also carried out on other routes and around 90 percent on the urban border roads. With the remaining funds in the budget, it will be possible to quickly complete the work that is still outstanding. -OP Verma, Exen, Provincial Block and Construction Division-1
The expansion of the state road will facilitate traffic in all villages
Tilhar / Nigohi / Alhaganj. Thousands of villagers in the surrounding villages and towns will benefit directly when the state road running through the district becomes seven meters wide. It will be easy for them to get to Tehsil and Block headquarters. This also eliminates the daily congestion problem.
The expansion work from Puwayan to Nigohi is almost complete and its benefits are also evident. In the past, this distance was covered in an hour due to potholes, now it only takes 35 to 40 minutes. The gravel-bitumen coating is carried out on a three-kilometer stretch from the level crossing in Nigohi to the furnace near Wazirapur. On this route towards Tilhar, vehicles got stuck in roadside potholes when the vehicles showed up face to face in the rain near the village of Kabirpur Jhotupur, but this problem is now a thing of the past. On this route from Tilhar to Nigohi there was waterlogging on the road near the village of Dabhora, but this problem will soon be over. On the other hand, the people of more than three dozen villages on either side of the road would benefit if the road between Bilgram and Alhaganj were widened to about five kilometers via Sandi in the Hardoi district. conversation
