Etawa. Police and administrative officials are making extensive preparations for the visit of the president and first citizen of the country, Ram Nath Kovind, to Kanpur on June 25. This tour is also special because it is the first time the President has come on the historic Presidential Express train, which has been called the pride of the country. This train arrives at Kanpur after 55 km on the district border.
The drive from New Delhi to Kanpur Central will be 427 km. Police are deployed on the tracks, seven stations, stops, overpasses, underpasses and crossings from Balrai Station to Samhaon under the district’s border. Police officers will patrol both sides of the route with bicycles. When passing the train, the police officers will be ready with a drag lift so that the cattle do not come onto the railroad tracks, the bridge. CCTV cameras at all train stations in the district were also activated.
Starting at 1 p.m. on June 25, 28 police officers on 14 bicycles will patrol the Delhi-Howrah railway line, which runs within the district boundary, until the President’s train crosses the district boundary. In security, the District Police and RPF are stationed at 28-28 points and the GRP team at 61 points. Before the arrival of the presidential train, the movement of the common people is stopped by being towed 100 meters from the level crossing or underpass.
At the administrative level, strict precautions have been taken to ensure the President’s security. Two ASPs, two COs, eight SOs and inspectors, 40 inspectors, 100 soldiers, apart from house guards, PRD personnel and guards from the police station are posted. According to the SSP, civil police will be on duty at all train stations, bridges, underpasses and level crossings. RPF will monitor the railway line. GFK will also be ready in its field of work.
