The village of Gauspur in the Nangalsoti region has been hardest hit by earthquakes for a decade. Also this year the Ganges damaged most of the agricultural areas of Gauspur. Within the last week and a half, Gauspur has seen massive deforestation of the arable land. The distance between Ganga and Gauspur is only 75 meters. Farmers are concerned about the continuing deterioration in agricultural land. District officials like DM, SP, and SDM keep a constant eye on Gauspur.
On June 27, ADM Awadhesh inspected the area and instructed the chief engineer of the irrigation department, Afzalgarh, Rambabu to stop the earthquake at the earliest. Executive Engineer Rambabu said it had been decided to build a makeshift stud to prevent an earthquake in the village during the rainy season. Temporary tunnels prepare tunnels for the construction of tunnels in the seismic zone using bags filled with balls and earth. After the rains, 15 permanent studs of 75 meters in length will be built in Gauspur in October.
