Saharapur. The city company has made preparations to move the bus stand of the transport company on Ambala Street to Mankamau. The station is slated to move later this month, but Transport Corporation officials are not ready for it yet. They argue that there is less space in Mankamau and that bus operations will be disrupted, which would lead to economic losses.
The Transport Corporation bus booth on Ambala Road operates on the Municipal Corporation site. Municipal Corporation will build a multi-story complex on the aforementioned property on Ambala Road as part of the Smart City Scheme. In such a situation, the bus stand must be removed from there. The transport company is providing a place in Mankamau where the pavement will be laid after the terrain has been leveled.
The building department of the municipal utilities has been entrusted with this work. Alok Srivastava, chief engineer in the construction department, said the sidewalk would be ready in three days. The toilet is already built. In a letter to the transport company on behalf of the city company, it was asked to move the bus station to Manakmau.
Surprisingly, the Transport Corporation officials are unaware of such letters and the move of the bus stand. He says he has no knowledge of the letter. It has also been said that around 500 rounds of buses are taken from the bus stand on Ambala Road every day. If you go to Mankamau there aren’t even 25 parking spaces. The rounds are also reduced from 500 to 100. This will cause huge losses for the Transport Corporation.
That’s why you have to go out to the bus stand
The two bus stops run by the transport company run from the center of the city. One of them is outside the station on Ambala Road and the other is on Railway Road. Buses from both bus stops depart from the city center via Ghantaghar. Because of this, there is a congestion problem. For a long time there has been a demand to move the bus stands out of the city. But the bus stand has not yet been moved.

No letter has been received from the city authorities to move the Manakmau bus station to Ambala Road. In Mankamau, the place where the bus stand is to be moved, even 25 buses cannot park. The occupancy of the bus stand there also reduces the number of buses, which does not benefit the transport company.
