Shivakalan. On Wednesday night, the thieves took away a quarter-kilometer wire from the high-performance line. Power was cut to more than two dozen villages by cutting wires. The power supply to the villages was restored via the second feeder.
The high-performance line leads via Pipalsana in Chandpur to the Mustafabad power plant. It supplies electricity to many villages. On Wednesday evening, thieves stole the HT line between 16 pillars between Aman Singh’s farm and Chandpur Fina Marg in Katpura Forest. The power supply of more than two dozen villages like Mustafabad, Malaysia, Chukhedi, Shahpur Bhanedi, Sarkathal etc. was affected by the wire theft. The morning that the power cables were stolen, there was excitement among company officials. The company’s employees said that the distance from one pillar to the other is about 80 meters. Accordingly, thieves took about a quarter of a kilometer long wire. Shakti Singh, Under Engineer of Electricity Corporation, reached the police station and filed a wire theft complaint. Under Engineer Shakti Singh said the electricity supply was made smooth by taking alternative arrangements for the electricity supply from the line coming from Fatehabad. Police station president Pawan Kumar said the incident is unknown and is being investigated.
