Unnao. After reviewing the nomination papers submitted to the vacant seats of the three-tier panchayat, nine papers were returned when the nominations were withdrawn on Monday. Two candidates for a vacant seat for District Panchayat Member (DDC) and seven applicants for Pradhan withdrew their nominations. This means that there are now 21 candidates in the election campaign.

In Hasanganj, two plaintiffs had filed an application for a Panchayat area member from Dayalpur Kurauli municipality. No nominations were returned in any of these places. That is why all candidates are fighting. The deputy election officer (Panchayat / Body) Dr. Sanjay Dwivedi announced that the elections will be held on June 12th and that the vote will be counted on June 14th.
