Ghazipur. A massive plantation was planted under the Van Mahotsav on the fourth day of Sunday in the district. 26 departments of the district take part in this campaign. The goal was set to plant 37 lakh seedlings. In which a maximum of 18 lakh seedlings must be planted by the village development department. All these plants are geo-tagged so that the PM can also monitor the plantation. The Major Plantation Campaign 2021 was launched by incumbent District Minister Anand Swaroop Shukla by planting a peepal tree on the campus of Baleshwar Pandey ITI College on the Cantonment Line in the city. He said that in ancient times civilizations developed on the banks of rivers and forests. Human life is based on water and forest. He thanked the CM for the Van Mahotsav program. After the plantation program on the ITI campus, Sadar MLA Sangeeta Balwant said everyone needs to plant a sapling and, along with planting saplings, special attention should be paid to plant protection. District Judge MP Singh appealed to the district people to bring greenery to the district by planting seedlings from the public gathering. District Forestry Officer Pradeep Kumar said a node monitoring team has been set up to take stock of the plantations in the district. Who comes on Monday and prepares the report.
