Jhansi. As part of the agriculture development agreement between India and Israel, Israel has asked for 10 years rainfall data in order to improve agriculture in the villages of Babina and Baragaon. These precipitation data are made available by the groundwater authority.
On August 20, 2019, an agreement was signed between India and Israel on the water supply in the Babina development block. Now that agreement is taking shape. Its main objective is to determine the availability of drinking and irrigation water for the area in Bundelkhand that is suffering from a water crisis. At the same time, the Bundelkhand Water Project is being developed for the long-term improvement of water management in the region.
The delegation from Israel requested data from the Irrigation Department, the Minor Irrigation Department, the Agriculture Department, the Horticulture Department, the Geophysicist and the Groundwater Department along with the rainfall data. District Judge Andra Vamsi has Dan Alluf and Dr. Leo asked by the Israeli Party to provide the data in a month. After studying the data, the team draws up a plan for cultivation in the region. The plan is being worked on in 28 villages in both blocks, but which villages it will be will only be decided after ten years of data have been collected and studied.
For the time being, the Israeli team will be provided with ten years of data from various departments. After studying the data, a separate plan is drawn up here.
