Pipe kept on track near Sivaya Gate, freight train saved from tipping over
Meerut. The freight train overturned again and again near Sewaya Gate 33 in Daurala at 12 noon on Friday evening. Anti-social elements had laid a 20-foot-long iron pipe on the track. The driver of a freight train from Meerut to Saharanpur put on an emergency brake, the engine collided with the pipe due to the high speed. However, no harm was done. The incident caused a stir among railway officials. The RPF and Daurala police removed the pipe and after about 30 minutes sent the freight train to Saharanpur.
Investigations have been launched into the matter. The RPF has drawn up a list of junks in the vicinity and has made preparations for their interrogation so that it can be determined that the stolen pipes have not been kept on the railroad tracks. The pipe was not thrown out of fear of the police. After doubling this distance, the railway increased the speed of freight trains and passenger trains. If a conspiracy has been hatched in this way, this danger can arise. Many long-distance special express trains pass this route, including Shatabdi, Janshatabdi. According to the police, investigations have been initiated at many levels.
Such cases have often happened on this route. In all of these cases, the RPF had nothing to do with it. Two years ago, a conspiracy to overthrow was hatched by placing an iron pipe in front of the Nanda Devi Express near the Putha Gate of Partapur at night. Last year an attempt was made in Daurala to carry out the incident in the same way by laying an iron pipe.
