An application for approval for a clinical trial of the covid-19 vaccine made from Ganga water has been filed with the Allahabad Supreme Court. In response to the petition, the court notified all other parties including the Indian Council for Medical Research and the Government of India Ethics Committee and instructed them to take their side. A division bank of Acting Supreme Judge MN Bhandari and Judge Rajendra Kumar heard the petition from Arun Gupta, Senior Advocate and Amicus Curiae at the PIL in the Ganga case. The petitioner Arun Kumar Gupta sent all the documents to the National Mission for Clean Ganga on April 28, 2020 and also applied for clinical trial approval by handing them over to the ICMR Director General. The petitioner is an amicus curiae in a public interest litigation over the Ganga pollution. He is committed to improving the Ganga water. Bharat Jhunjhunwala also sent a similar report. ICMR has rejected all arbitrary investigations.

The report was sent by the President’s Secretary to the AYUSH Ministry, which did not consider it due to a lack of scientific studies. Scientific studies are not possible without the approval of the Ministry of AYUSH and ICMR. While the BHU medical team was preparing the spray vaccine.
