Moradabad. The third wave of corona infections is feared as dangerous for children, but there are no pediatricians in the district’s municipal health centers. In such a situation, MBBAS doctors are sent to CHCs to look after the children. There is a pediatrician in the district hospital. While with four CHCs there is no pediatrician. The chief medical officer says arrangements will be made for a pediatrician from the district if necessary.
In the second wave of corona infections, many patients and relatives had to deal with the lack of beds and oxygen. In the possible third wave, there should be no such problem, so preparations are being made to build oxygen systems in four community health centers in Moradabad district. Oxygen plants arose in Dilari and Mundhapande, while the plants in Kundarki and Sharif Nagar are likely to emerge soon. Preparations are being made for this wave, which is considered dangerous for children. 30-30 beds of oxygen were established in all CHCs. Of these, 12-12 beds are provided for children. But there are no pediatricians in the centers.
CMO Dr. MC Garg said a pediatrician was stationed at the Bilari Community Health Center, but he was also transferred. Four to four MBBS doctors are appointed in each CHC so that their service can be enforced around the clock. But every CHC should have a pediatrician. What is not there at the moment. When a specialist comes, the government has given him the opportunity to come straight to him at Level 2. Two OT technicians have been appointed to operate ventilators, wipes, and oxygen concentrators in each of the centers. They were also trained. If the pediatrician does not come before the third wave and there are cases in which children get sick, the district hospital will send them to the pediatrician.
