Kopaganj (Mau). An investigation into the administration’s efforts to prevent infection revealed gross negligence by the Ministry of Health and Nagar Panchayat in the Kopaganj Block. In the investigation, Naib Tehsildar found 29 patients in the second wave of infections in the entire Kopganj block. Upon reaching the home of these patients, it was found that the RR team was examining these patients and the people they came into contact with here. However, no medication was provided to patients living in home isolation.
At the same time, neither the container zone was created, nor was the area rehabilitated by the responsibilities of Nagar Panchayat and the block. On the other hand, Tehsildar Sadar Sanjeev Yadav sent a report to the administration after the negligence of Nagar Panchayat Kopaganj and the block with the health department.
In the transition period, 62 people have died since last Saturday. During this period, a total of 7,887 patients were found in the district. As of March 31, 2021, the district had 39 deaths from infection while the total number of patients was 3,048. That said, over the past 52 days, 4,839 patients have been found while there have been 23 deaths. This can predict the outbreak of the second wave of infections. Although this is such a serious matter, the Kopaganj Block Health Department and Nagar Panchayat and Block responsibilities have not understood the severity of the epidemic. It was not us, but Tehsil, who, at the direction of the government during the survey, went door-to-door during the survey of 29 patients in the Kopganj block.
Sadar Tehsildar Sanjeev Yadav said that on the orders of the district judge, a two-day survey was conducted by him and Naib Tehsildar Sant Vijay Singh’s team on May 20 and 21. It was reported that investigations were carried out during the two-day survey by reaching the homes of 29 infected patients from the Kopaganj block. During this time, the homes of infected patients found in the wards of Nagar Panchayat and in the villages of the block were not classified as a safety zone.
It is said that other patients besides three to four patients were found to be hygienic. But Nagar Panchayat Kopaganj and the block in the homes of these patients did not find any posters with a covid infection. While interacting with the patient and his family, it was found that drug delivery was only occurring in four patients, and following an examination by the medical team, there was also a post-examination complaint about not being able to reach the patients’ home. It was reported that a report of the negligence of the three divisions was sent to the district judge.
