Siddharth Anand directed film Pathan was released on 25th January to an overwhelming response from the audience. The Yash Raj Films company starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham has lived up to commercial expectations. Indeed, despite facing riots over its release, Pathan was widely released on 2,500 screens abroad.
$4.5 million post-withdrawal [Rs. 36.68 cr.] On its opening day, reports indicated that Pathan’s business has been steady. On his second day, Pathan manages to attract an additional US$3.80 million [Rs. 30.97 cr.] at the box office abroad. Unsurprisingly, the UAE/GCC Overseas Region topped the list with grosses of $1,470,000. [Rs. 11.98 cr.] The United States enters as the second foreign market with the highest grossing with a gross of USD 733,238 [Rs. 5.97 cr.] From 599 Screens. These top two foreign markets are followed by territories like Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, where Pathan did well at the box office with US$476,323. [Rs. 3.88 cr.] Se, 105 screens, USD 378,027 [Rs. 3.08 cr.] of 60 screens, and USD 286,830 [Rs. 2.33 cr.] 213 screens are coming respectively. While the New Zealand region saw a comparatively lower collection rate at USD 61,108 [Rs. 49.81 lakhs] Coming from screen 38.
Although movie collections may fall, business predictions suggest that its business will see a surge on its first Saturday and Sunday in foreign markets. As of now, thanks to the positive reviews and the appreciative response from the audience, the film has continued its march at the box office.
