Siddharth Anand directed Pathan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, released last week to an overwhelming response from audiences. After a bang, the Yash Raj Films production was released on 5,500 screens in the domestic market and has seen its business grow with each passing day. In fact, public demand for the film is so high that exhibitors have added shows and even started showings at midnight. Pathan has also been on a run to break box office records, and one of those records is the highest grossing single day.
Not surprisingly, Pathan, which has received positive reviews from critics and immense appreciation from the audience, has recorded the highest single-day collection at Rs. He also earned Rs 70.50 crore on the second day. If this was not enough, then the film earned 500 crores. 50+ crores also ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 6th on the list of the top 10 biggest single-day grosses in as many days since its release. Interestingly, with Pathan doing well, Yash Raj Films launched the project, now occupying six out of ten spots on the said list, with War and Thugs of Hindostan coming in fifth and seventh, respectively.

Similarly, for Shah Rukh Khan, Pathan, who is doing extremely well at the box office, has claimed four of the top seven spots on the same list. Not surprisingly, the movie takes the top three spots, with War coming in at fourth.
