Advance bookings for Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan return continue to mount. Tickets went on sale yesterday and the action thriller did exceptionally well until 6pm, as Bollywood Hungama previously reported. The film had sold 171,500 tickets so far in the main national multiplexes on its first day. To break it down, Pathan sold 75,000 tickets at PVR, 60,500 tickets at INOX and 35,500 tickets at Cinépolis on day one.
And now, the latest update is that the Siddharth Anand-directed film continued to have positive advance sales until last night. Ticket sales until 11:15pm last night for Pathan reached a whopping 2,01,000 on its first day. This includes 87,000 in PVR, 73,000 in INOX and 41,000 in Cinépolis.
As we mentioned earlier, Pathan is set to open in large numbers on the 1st. While predicting the film’s release, veteran business analyst Taran Adarsh told us yesterday: “Pathan’s first day will be historic. Everything is ready to have a spectacular and moving opening. Day 1 number one will be shocking in a good way. People will be hit. The kind of madness that this movie has created, no movie has been able to do in recent times. The last such movie I can think of is KGF – Chapter 2 (2022). There was a lot of excitement in Flat War (2019), but this time there’s more madness than Vaar. I am expecting a Rs. Rs 40 crore plus on day 1. You can go further depending on the number of screens and the number of shows.
Produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, Pathan also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. The film is an action thriller centered on a planned terrorist attack in India.
