Panchayat – swearing-in program at school and Panchayat Bhawan somewhere

Shravasti. Among the newly elected village chiefs, 225 village chiefs swore the oath of office and secrecy on Tuesday. The oath was taken somewhere in the Panchayat building and on the school porch. There are 397 grams of panchayats in the district. The heads of all these panchayats won. Of these, however, only two thirds of the 225 panchayats have a quorum. Apart from that, no elections for Gram Panchayat members could be held. In such a situation, most of the panchayats were sworn in on Tuesday. The oath was held in two innings. Five to six Panchayat chiefs were sworn oaths on each shift. 55 in Ikauna, 35 in Guilla, 49 in Jamunaha, 41 in Hariharpurrani and 45 village chiefs in the Sirsia development block were virtually sworn in. Now these Panchayats are supposed to have their first meeting on May 27th. The term of office of the Gramm Panchayats begins with this meeting.
Even after the election as village head, 172 panchayats still have to wait for their training. For this purpose, the electoral commission can shortly announce the date of the by-election. After the election of the Gram Panchayat members, a new date will be set for the renewed oath. Then the remaining panchayats are formed.
The process of forming 225 panchayats, who have achieved a two-thirds majority in the district, has progressed. All were sworn in on Tuesday in two shifts. The first meeting will take place on May 27th.
