After that, the number of those infected began to decrease, but by April 24 it was more than two thousand. Now the number of infected people has decreased from 1,300. From this, the temperature, the oxygen content and the pulse rate of the candidates and agents are examined. DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami checked the counting preparations on Friday. He directed that all other preparations should be made to include covid prevention.

The DM also asked SDM and BDO to complete the counting of votes after their report was completed. Instructions were given to place CCTV cameras, varicanting, iron nets, etc. at the counting location. He also instructed to provide disinfection, soap, etc., and to fog up at the counting location. The DM said that ballot boxes will also be redeveloped.

He instructed ensuring compliance with the covid protocol, including masking and social distancing. SSP Best Tripathi said there will be strict security measures at the counting location. He said that no crowd should be gathered at the counting station or outside.
