Only four trains are being operated from Bijnor station
Bijnor. The railway administration has not yet recovered from the Corona crisis. For this reason, Bijnor railway station, which is buzzing with passengers from morning till evening, remains deserted. According to officials, at present only four trains are operating through here, including three express and one passenger train. On normal days, about a dozen trains used to operate from here. Apart from this, 46 express and 22 passenger trains were operated from Najibabad Junction.
The Gajraula-Mauzzampur Narayan railway route is about 95 km long. Bijnor Railway Station is situated on this rail route itself. Before the start of the corona transition, about a dozen trains used to pass through here, due to which this station was buzzing with the movement of passengers, but from March 25, 2020, the beauty of the passengers started disappearing from here. Trains going to various places were canceled on the instructions of the Union Ministry of Railways. After this, even after getting relief from the lockdown when the situation returned to normal, only four trains were started operating one by one. Railway station superintendent Chandrashekhar Sharma said that nowadays only three express trains are operating. These include Mussoorie Express, Garhwal Express and Lucknow-Chandigarh Express trains. Apart from this, in the same month, Najibabad – Moradabad passenger train has been run from Najibabad to Gajraula only. The remaining eight passenger trains are yet to run. So far no instructions have been received from the Headquarters for this.

RK Singh, CMI of Najibabad railway station said that a total of 46 express and 22 passenger trains, including long distance trains, used to move from Najibabad, the major railway junction of Laksar-Moradabad. After the lockdown of the Corona transition period, the operation of trains remained closed for a long time. About six months ago, the operation of trains started gradually. The railways converted the fare of passenger trains into mail with the introduction of limited number of trains. Presently a total of 46 trains consisting of Mail fare, Express and Ordinary trains passing through Najibabad Railway Station. These include the Bijnor Express train running between Najibabad to Gajraula. Railways has recently announced to start operation of two passenger trains on the Najibabad-Kotdwar branch line. According to railway sources, soon these trains will start operating from mail fare. By converting passenger trains into mail trains by the railways, passengers have to pay extra fare, due to which the financially weak and common man is getting away from traveling by trains.
