The league continues to compete with the best T20 stars, and those who excel for their respective teams are rewarded for their strong performances in the tournament.

defending champion Chennai Super Kings This season has not been able to make a mark and has lost three matches in a row. But one player who has stood out in the opening matches is the CSK team’s leading run-scorer Shivam Dubey, who has scored 109 runs in three innings.

Dubey was dismissed for three in the first league match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, the southpaw bounced back with 49 runs against Lucknow Super Giants, and followed it up with a quick 57 against Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Dubey last played for the Indian team against New Zealand in February 2020. He has 105 runs and five wickets in 13 T20I matches. Since the national team is in dire need of a fast bowler all-rounder, Dubey will face Hardik Pandya and Venkatesh Iyer.
