Saharanpur The counting of the votes for the three-stage Panchayat elections will take place on May 2nd. Those who become counting agents have to submit the negative report from Kovid 19, but if all the candidates are there, if all have to become agents, then it’s more than 22,000. In such a situation it is not so easy to have them all examined.
This is because around 4,300 samples of Covids are taken for testing in the district every day. About 2000 probes come from antigen kits, the rest from RT-PCR. It takes four to five days for the RT-PCR probe to arrive. Because at the Government Medical College in Saharanpur only 1500 RT-PCR tests are carried out daily.
On the other hand, there is an instruction from the administration that a negative report on the covid examination must be presented to the counting device 72 hours in advance. Although they are not required to provide the RT-PCR test report, the covid negative report of the test performed with the antigen kit is also valid, but requests to become a counting device will be accepted before April 30th. Now there is only Thursday left for people to apply with their covid review.
Private lab support with the government
Two sampling centers have been set up in all community health centers in the district. That being said, sampling is being done at six locations including the district hospital and the city’s old hospital, IMA Bhawan, while Ministry of Health mobile vans are also being sampled. Even so, such a large number of people may have to resort to private laboratories to have a cavid test performed.
