Schamli / Kairana. In response to the complaint about illegal mining in Mamaur, the team of officers formed under the leadership of ADM reached the site and carried out the measurement. In addition, the team also investigated the complaint about the crew of Sand in Mangalora by Karnal.
MS Traders has a five year sand mining contract in the Yamuna River in the village of Mamaur in the Kairana Tehsil area. On sand mining leases, sand mining is only allowed in accordance with the guidelines of the NGT and the Supreme Court. There was a lawsuit about illegal mining here. On Saturday, the team of ASP OP Singh, SDM Uddhav Tripathi, CO Jitendra Kumar and Naib Tehsildar Prashant Kumar Awasthi, EO of the Drainage Department, Pollution Control Board Muzaffarnagar Regional Officer, reached the Mamaur mining site on Saturday.
The officials had the surveying of the mining lease based on Sijre. Apart from that, CCTV cameras installed at the extraction point measured the depth after the sand was extracted. The mining area was compared with that of Sijre. Other parameters were also examined. The SDM announced that the officer team led by the ADM carried out the measurement of the mining rent of Mamaur on the instructions of the DM. The immission control authority examined the pollution and the drainage department checked whether the mining-related flood situation did not arise during the upcoming rainfalls.
On the other hand, ADM Arvind Singh said that the complaint about the illegal storage of sand at the petrol station of Karnal-based Manjeet had also been received. The team also went there and investigated. The investigation report is presented to the DM.
