Bangladesh have been fined 5 per cent of their match price for sustaining a gradual over-rate towards England in a league match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Javagal Srinath of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees penalized Shakib Al Hasan’s crew for falling one over wanting the goal after contemplating the time allowance.
In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which offers with minimal over-rate offences, gamers can be fined 5 per cent of their match price for every over their crew fails to bowl within the allotted time. Fine is imposed.
Shakib Al Hasan pleaded responsible to the offense and accepted the proposed punishment, so there was no want for a proper listening to.
On-field umpires Ahsan Raza and Paul Wilson, third umpire Adrian Holdstock and fourth umpire Kumar Dharmasena made the cost.
