Siddharthnagar. Given the increasing impact of the corona transition period, the OPD has been closed in all health centers including the district hospital. Now the OPD is also being started in health centers. In addition, the ENT-OPD for the treatment of patients with black fungus is started in the district hospital.
Recently, a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister ensured the presence of doctors and paramedical staff in all primary health centers. When the MBBS doctor is unavailable or on some other duty, the AYUSH doctors are put on duty so people can get first aid facilities from PHC. Guidelines have been issued for the provision of antigen testing facilities at CHC, PHC to ensure the distribution of essential medicines. OPD is started as part of the Social Distance and Covid Protocol. Instructions were given to apply the duties of the ICCC physicians as required to keep the CHC, PHC functional. In the same order, in view of the black fungus case, the government has only ordered two doctors to sit in the OPD in the district hospital and keep the OPD closed. The ophthalmologist and ear, nose and throat specialist sit from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., where patients prescribe medication for medical examination. The Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary said information has been received regarding the start of the OPD. Upon receipt of the letter, all superintendents will be asked to comply.
