Now Foreign Going Travelers Can Get Second Dose Of Covishield At An Interval Of 28 Days

Bahjoi. Travelers going abroad have been allowed to apply the second dose of Kovidshield vaccine before 84 days. Till now such passengers were being vaccinated at all the centers of the district. The CMO has put a halt to this process with immediate effect. Now the second dose will be given to those going abroad only at the Community Health Center of Bahjoi.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ajay Kumar Saxena said that the second dose of Kovishield vaccine is given at an interval of 84 days as per rules. Those going abroad have to show proof of both the doses.
In this regard, such beneficiaries have been given the freedom to get the second dose of Kovidshield vaccine before 84 days. Foreign travelers can get a second dose at an interval of 28 days instead of 84. Meanwhile, a letter has been issued by the CMO to the medical superintendents of the district that the order should be complied with with immediate effect. Vaccine cold chain manager Arshad Rasool said that there were problems and complaints in completing the vaccination process before 84 days. Keeping this in mind, this rule has been implemented.
