No Urea On 125 Means Cooperative Societies Of The District

Urea is missing on 125 resource cooperative societies of the district. Due to this farmers are facing problems. Farmers are unable to spray urea in the paddy crop. They are compelled to buy urea from private fertilizer shops at expensive prices.
There are eight lakh 16 thousand farmers in the district. These farmers have planted paddy in one lakh 47 thousand 84 hectares of land. At present, spraying of urea is necessary in the paddy crop, but due to shortage of urea in the district, farmers are not able to spray in the paddy crop. There are total 208 resource cooperative societies in the district. Out of these 175 resource cooperative societies are active. Of these, 125 committees including Kewatli Kalan, Parati, Tiara, Rajnipur, Kalyanpur, Belwan, Kishunpur, Dema, Gulra do not have urea. Due to non-availability of urea, farmers belonging to these societies are facing problems. They are unable to spray urea in the paddy crop. They are forced to buy urea from private shops at higher prices. District Agriculture Officer KK Singh says that there is no urea on 125 resource cooperative societies of the district. A rake of 1300 MT urea has arrived. The process of sending the resources to the cooperative societies has been started. There will be no complaint in the control room. Hence it would not have been noted on the register. Most of the complaints come on their mobile. Which he gets disposed of immediately.
