The incident occurred at Dohria Junction in the Shohratgarh Police Station area. The fire broke out because the cylinder tube was leaking while making dumplings in the store. The mother and son were burned in the fire. Nitesh, 28, a resident of the Dohria Khurd area, looked after the family by running a tea and water shop at the intersection. At the store, wife Priyanka helped her with work by staying with her husband. On Wednesday, workers working on the Sarju Canal were ordered to make dumplings. Priyanka had lit the stove by turning the gas bottle regulator to make dumplings in the store. The fire was caused by a leak in a gas pipe. The younger son Ankush was with his father. When they saw the flames in the room, husband and father-in-law Rammilan rushed to rescue Priyanka. Meanwhile the flame of the fire had assumed a violent shape. On the other hand, Priyanka had tried to escape by leaving the room with her son. She couldn’t run away as the gallery shop at the back was closed. The mother and son were badly burned after they went up in flames. Here the husband and father-in-law tried to put out the fire by taking out Ankush.
When they saw the scene, people and passers-by nearby informed the fire brigade and police. Then the fire was started to be extinguished with hand pump water. The fire was brought under control after hours of use. At this point the mother and son had already died. After the incident, there was grief in the area.
