New Study Center Of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University Varanasi Will Open In Ladakh

The Central Institute of Buddhist Studies in Ladakh will become the new study center of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. After the consent of the executive council, the university administration has sent the proposal of the study center to the government.

In the lap of the Himalayas, the hymns of the Vedas will soon resonate with the prayers of Buddhism. In collaboration with Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), a new Sanskrit Study Center will be opened in Ladakh. Under this, courses for East Madhyama, Uttar Madhyama and Shastri will be started.The Central Institute of Buddhist Studies in Ladakh will become the new study center of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. After the consent of the executive council, the university administration has sent the proposal of the study center to the government. In the proposal sent to the government, classes including East Madhyama, Uttar Madhyama, Shastri will run. After permission from the government, initially East Madhyamik (Class 10) and North Madhyamik (Class 12) courses will be run here. For a long time, efforts were being made by the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies in Ladakh for the study of Sanskrit.

Years ago, Shastri and other courses were also run in Ladakh Mahavidyalaya (now University) under the affiliation of Sanskrit University, but after it became a university, the affiliation ended. After the start of the study center, certificate and diploma courses can also be started there depending on the number of students in the coming time. Vice Chancellor Prof. Hareram Tripathi had met ICCR President Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe in this matter only last week. Public Relations Officer Shashindra Mishra said that after getting the approval from the Executive Council, the proposal has been sent for the permission of the government.
Sanskrit University used to recognize Pratham, Purva Madhyama, Uttar Madhyama in the state, but in 2001, the state government constituted the Sanskrit Secondary Education Council and handed over this responsibility to the council. After this, Sanskrit University gives recognition to centers outside the state from Pratham to Uttar Madhyama.There are more than 1200 affiliated colleges Sampurnanand Sanskrit University has more than 1200 affiliated colleges across the country. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat apart from Nepal also have affiliated colleges.
