Jamunaha (Sravasti). NDRF employees carried out a rescue exercise in the Laxmanpur dam in Jamunha on Saturday. During the exercise, the district administration had activated all departments and flood posts, as there was a threat of flooding in the district. During the exercise, floods suddenly entered the villages in the Tehsil area.
NDRF was informed by the district control center that some people in the village were surrounded by water. Immediately after receiving the information, the team of the 11th Battalion NDRF Varanasi, led by Commander Manoj Kumar Sharma, led by Team Commander Inspector Priya Ranjan, arrived at the site. The team began the rescue operation under the direction of the district judge. During the rescue, people were rescued by the team and taken to safe locations.
The boat with some people overturned due to loss of balance. Where the team reached, rescued and got people out safely. Later the diving team also carried out a search and informed about the evacuation of all drowned people. The drowned people were taken in by the medical team. On the occasion, the assistant collector Jamunha Pravendra Kumar, Tehsildar Jamunha Narayan Singh, the team commander Dhirendra Upadhyay, the deputy sub-inspector of the Shivlal team, Amit Kumar Yadav of the team, Brijmohan, Pawan Kumar and others were present.
