Balrampur. To save more than 30 villages belonging to the local police station, the dam is being built to save them from the devastation of the downhill river. Due to the lack of a dam, the floods of the Kharjhar Hill Drain caused devastation in more than 30 villages.
Tulsipur MLA Kailash Nath Shukla inspected the construction of the dam of the Kharjhar drainage canal on Monday and gave the necessary instructions to the on-site engineers of the flood section.
The MLA, who arrived on site, said it had held the land service three months ago to build the dam and had instructed the flood section engineers to begin construction immediately.
Due to the corona epidemic, there was a slight delay in the construction of the dam. In the past, the Kharjhar drain was flooded by rain during the Toute storm, which is why the villagers protested by protesting here.
Given the resentment of local residents, the MLA instructed the engineers in the flood department to begin work immediately. At the initiative of the MLA, the construction of a dam to protect against flooding and erosion of the Kharjhar drain was started in Laliya Marg near the village of Ramgarh Maithwa.
The MLA instructed the on-site engineers of the flood section to accelerate the construction of the dam and to do the work qualitatively. Dr. Hukum Singh, Monu Singh, Pravesh Mishra, Shailendra Singh and Vijay Pratap Singh were present on this occasion.
