Aalhat. The revolutionary Mangal Pandey’s 194th birthday was celebrated on Monday at the Vidya Sanskar Public School in Kauriyakala in the region. The teachers bowed to him by offering flowers in the picture.
In the webinar organized online, the students examined the biography. The chairman Dr. Nagendra Prasad Dwivedi gave the youth a message to follow their ideals. He said Mangal Pandey was a soldier in the East India Company’s 34th Bengali Infantry. The British declared him a rebel because he did not use the grease cartridge.
Direct Soumya Dwivedi said the patriot Mangal Pandey sparked a wave of revolution in the country to liberate the country. The British suppressed the first revolution, but the martyrdom of Mangal Pandey organized the country to fight for independence. Rector Shail Tiwari said he was a great revolutionary in India’s struggle for freedom. He has the status of the first martyr in the country’s independence.
